THE OLD REALITY

Font replacement was never “just replace font.”

Arabic production problems rarely live in one place. They accumulate across styles, stories, frames and invisible formatting until the final delivery becomes a manual rescue operation.

PAIN 01

Dozens of inherited font families

Arabic files return from translation carrying Latin font logic, inconsistent families and awkward visual weight.

PAIN 02

Weight mapping becomes guesswork

Regular, Light, SemiBold, Bold and Black must be interpreted—not flattened into one face.

PAIN 03

Arabic looks smaller at the same size

Matching point sizes can still produce visibly unequal Arabic and Latin texture across the page.

PAIN 04

Italics create false promises

Many Arabic families have no native italic. Blind substitution can destroy emphasis or trigger missing styles.

CONTROL WITHOUT CHAOS

Purpose-built for the realities of Arabic InDesign production.

A focused interface puts the meaningful choices in front of the typesetter, with recommended defaults, deliberate opt-ins and a dry run before commitment.

WHAT CHANGES THE GAME

Deep automation. Human control stays in the room.

Every capability below corresponds to a real production pain addressed by the application—not a generic promise.

Profile-based remapping

Convert every discovered font into a coherent Arabic family instead of making hundreds of isolated replacements.

Weight-aware decisions

Preserve typographic hierarchy from ExtraLight and Light through Regular, SemiBold, Bold and Black.

Arabic-only size balancing

Add or subtract points only where Arabic script is present; embedded English and URLs retain their original size.

Document-wide reach

Process normal stories, overset text and table-cell text ranges—not merely what is visible on the current page.

Practical italic strategy

Use a true italic where the chosen family provides one; otherwise retain the intended weight with a controlled simulated slant.

Installed-font resolution

Resolve real Windows/InDesign family and style naming, with sensible nearest-weight fallback when an exact member is unavailable.

Repeat-run protection

A document marker helps prevent accidentally applying the Arabic size adjustment twice.

Auditable HTML report

Save a portable visual report beside the InDesign document or to a chosen fallback folder.
