Do I need to create a Trados or CAT project first?
No. Add supported native or bilingual files directly, count them, and—when you need memory leverage—analyze their source segments against TMX or SDLTM resources from the same workflow.
Is this only a word counter?
No. It combines configurable counting, exact repetition analysis, Trados-log match pricing, direct TM analysis, live quotation calculations, client profiles, reporting, currency conversion and invoicing.
Can it count entire folders?
Yes. Add Folder discovers supported files in the selected folder and its subfolders, while the Format Filter Rack controls which formats are accepted.
What happens with scanned PDFs?
The application flags likely scanned or non-extractable pages for review and carries the warning into applicable reports. OCR itself is not included in this build.
Can different clients have different rates?
Yes. Client profiles can store default rate, currency and unit. Match Calculator also supports reusable discount profiles for different fuzzy-match arrangements.
